(she/her)

Educational & Developmental Psychologist

Clinical Psychologist

Board Approved Supervisor

BA, GDip(Psych), MA(Psych), MPsych(Ed & Dev)

Gigi is a registered Educational & Developmental and Clinical Psychologist who is passionate about providing neurodiversity-affirming, trauma informed, and culturally responsive therapy and assessment for adolescents and adults. She completed her Master of Educational and Developmental Psychology at the University of Melbourne.

As a multilingual psychologist, Gigi speaks Cantonese as her native language and conversational Mandarin and values working with individuals and families from diverse cultural backgrounds. She has experience working in various settings, including public sector, private practice, and schools in both Australia and Hong Kong. Her lived experience across cultures informs her compassionate and culturally responsive approach to care.

Gigi is particularly passionate about supporting neurodivergent clients, especially, girls, women, and gender-diverse individuals. She recognises that neurodivergence can often present differently across individuals and may be misunderstood, especially in those whose experiences do not fit traditional stereotypes. Gigi recognises the intersection of culture, identity, trauma, and neurodivergence. She finds deep fulfilment in empowering her clients to better understand themselves and their experiences through a lens of self-compassion, helping them build insight, confidence, and a greater sense of authenticity.

Gigi believes building a strong therapeutic relationship is central to effective care and collaborates with clients to integrate evidence-based approaches tailored to their individual needs. Her therapeutic approach is person-centred and commonly draws on Schema Therapy, EMDR, Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), tailoring treatment to each client’s need and goals. Gigi has completed accredited training in EMDR and Schema Therapy and is currently working towards accreditation in these modalities. She has a particular interest in adapting these approaches to support neurodivergent and culturally diverse individuals.

Gigi is registered with the Australian Board of Psychology and is a Board Approved Supervisor. She is a member of the Australian Association of Psychologists Inc (AAPi).

When she is not at work, you can find Gigi enjoying the outdoors with Eddie (her fluffy and loyal companion), improvising recipes, or experimenting with ways to keep her string of pearls plant alive.
